A casual hands-on indigo dyeing experience using handkerchiefs, cloth, and other small items.

Dip the fabric into the indigo vat yourself and enjoy watching the color gradually develop through the dyeing process.

If you have something you would like to dye, you are welcome to bring it with you.

Prices vary depending on the weight of the item.
As a guide, dyeing a T-shirt typically costs around ¥8,000.

Create patterns by binding sections of the cloth to resist the dye.

Using traditional shibori techniques, you will make your own dyed piece by hand.

From ¥40,000 / 3 days or more

A multi-day katazome course covering the full process, from cutting the stencil and applying resist paste to indigo dyeing.
